Job Board

I have hidden students' names, but you can still get the general idea. The headers and name cards were purchased from teacherclubhouse.com. I posted to a piece of black foam board and used red ribbon for the boarder. Each job area and name card has velcro tabs so the names can be moved easily.

Themed Behavior Clip Chart

The theme in my classroom is Hollywood Stars and I have been trying to come up with a way of making my behavior clip chart tie into my theme. I have looked at several websites and different teacher blogs. I first saw one on The Inspired Apple that I loved but it was more of a rock and roll theme so it didn't really work. Well today I found it! I was searching (stalking) different third grade blogs and came across Thriving Third Graders. This teacher also has a Hollywood style theme. She shared pictures of her behavior clip chart and it was exactly what I have been looking for. So as all teachers do.....I am borrowing (stealing :o) ) her idea!
Isn't that what we are supposed to do?

Getting Ready for the Kiddos....

The last four days have been so long. I have worked all day trying to get my classroom ready for the students. I am almost finished except for a few last minute details. Unfortunately, I have to attend new teacher training next week (even though I taught for 1/2 a year last year) so I will not have time to work in my classroom again until preplanning. That makes me a nervous wreck. For those of you who know me.....I am a complete and total PERFECTIONIST and do not like leaving my room incomplete. Oh well...that's enough of my ranting! :)
